About This Spot

Stepping into Honest Niles feels like finding a quiet corner of India tucked away in the rhythms of suburban Niles. This unpretentious restaurant carves out a relaxed, approachable space where the hum of conversation and the occasional clink of cutlery create a steady, comforting pace. It’s the kind of spot where the warmth isn’t just in the spices but in the familiar ease that wraps around you—a place to settle in, share stories, and savor moments as much as meals.

The interior leans into simplicity rather than flash, reflecting a focus on what’s authentic and heartfelt rather than what’s trendy. While the décor might feel a little dated to some, it adds to the lived-in charm, a reminder that places like this measure themselves more in genuine flavor and the quiet buzz of community than in modern aesthetics.

At Honest Niles, the menu feels like a thoughtful journey through Indian street food and vegetarian delights, each dish inviting you to slow down and savor a variety of textures and spices. From the crisp, comforting layers of dosa to the cheerful, tangy bursts of chaat, the experience holds a little surprise in every bite. There’s a shared joy in ordering a plate to be enjoyed with friends or family—whether it’s a patty tucked within a pav or the rhythm of sweets and spice lingering alongside a hot cup of chai.

Dining here isn’t just about nourishment; it’s about carving out a modest yet meaningful experience, where the food feels honest and the atmosphere quietly welcoming. Honest Niles welcomes both those familiar with Indian flavors and those eager to explore them, encouraging a relaxed pace and simple pleasures in every visit.

We ordered Masala Dosa and Pav Bhaji. They only gave 2 piece Pav which isn’t enough for most people, we ordered extra Pav. Food tastes delicious but more on the pricey side for South Indian food. I guess that’s how most restaurants are these days.

Decent spot to get some Indian street food/snacks. Everything came out well and tasted great. There’s lots of seating but the decor felt a little out dated which might throw some people off.
